Norrbotten Air Force Wing is looking for civilian aircraft technicians for its maintenance companies
We are looking for Aircraft Technicians and therefore want to get in touch with you who want to become one of us and contribute to creating a stronger defense. As part of the 21st Air Wing and one of its maintenance companies, you will be responsible for the Armed Forces' most advanced platform. The work is varied as you will also participate in exercises and operations where the workplace and working hours vary. Working with aircraft maintenance within the Armed Forces is for those who are technically interested and want to work with the latest technology.
About the unit
The Aircraft Maintenance Unit is the unit that handles preventive and corrective maintenance on our Gripen aircraft, as well as all the maintenance equipment associated with the aircraft. The unit, together with the companies, also manages the daily operation of the flight system with readiness and preparedness. Our tasks are primarily directed nationally, but international assignments may also occur.
The Aircraft Maintenance Unit consists of a unit management, 31st and 32nd Aircraft Maintenance Companies, and the Aircraft Workshop in Luleå. Each aircraft maintenance company is divided into a company management and three platoons.
Main tasks
Your tasks as an aircraft technician consist of preventive and corrective maintenance on the JAS 39 Gripen and its armament. You will also carry out readiness service and preparedness of the flight system, both at the home unit and at other locations in and outside Sweden. You will become part of our combat unit.
Qualifications
- At least a passed upper secondary education
- COR (Certificate of Recognition) EASA Part-147 Approved Basic Training B1.1, alternatively EASA Part-66 maintenance license or SE-EMAR / RML P-6 certificate for aircraft maintenance
- Driving license B, manual transmission.
- Good ability to express yourself in both spoken and written Swedish and English
Meritorious
- Authorization JAS 39
- Approved military basic training of at least 6 months
- Served in an aircraft maintenance company
Personal qualities
- High personal maturity as the position places great demands on judgment and integrity.
- Good ability to work both in a team and independently.
- High flexibility as the exercise and operational environment is often dynamic.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Other
The employment is a permanent position in the Armed Forces. It starts with a 6-month probationary period.
